Born on October 26th 1947 in Houston she was schooled at the local school and gained a place at Trinity University. Having completed her degree she then moved to New York. She wasn’t initially hoping to forge a career in acting; instead she wanted to pursue a ballet dancing career but soon decided that this wasn’t for her. After thoughts of modeling were also dismissed she broke into acting with a few adverts in 1971; mainly with shampoo companies. After 5 years of advertising products she decided that she was in need of a change and broke onto the scene in the new show called Charlie’s Angels. The show became a hit almost immediately and Smith soon found herself a household name. As the only member to stay on for all the series’, her face became synonymous with the Angels. After the show ended in 1981 she carried on acting in numerous Hollywood films including Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy for which she was nominated for a Globe award. Her work was formally recognized in 1989 when she received a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

Smith appeared on Oprah denying any claims of her undergoing any plastic surgery. She has stated that she is not against plastic surgery but that she personally has not had any. Instead, she says that she maintains her appearance by eating healthy, exercising, and refraining from drinking, smoking, and drugs. She eats a low-fat diet along with a vitamin regimen that is heavy in antioxidants.

Many people cannot believe that a woman of Jaclyn Smith’s age can look so great without plastic surgery. Many plastic surgeons state that it appears that Jaclyn Smith has in fact undergone some plasic surgery work over the years. Surgeons admit that Smith is blessed with high cheek bones but that it appears as though she has had work on her jawline to keep her bone structure that way as well as some Botox around her laugh lines. Of course, this is all merely speculation as there has been no confirmation of any sort of plastic surgery work. Regardless of whether she has undergone plastic surgery, most everyone can agree that she looks stunning!

A Texas girl you would have to say that Jaclyn Smith is a true American through and through because she is not only a popular celebrity as well as been a national but she is also a spokes person for several American charities and events. Like all celebrities Jaclyn is very diverse with her career and goes outside of the Hollywood atmosphere to help others that are not as fortunate as she is. The TV commercials that Jaclyn appeared in gave her the chance to move from modeling to acting even though she continued to endorse many good products like shampoo and mouth wash. Most of her movie appearances started out as straight to TV movies after the 1980 which was no problem for Jaclyn because she had plenty of work doing these movies.
