Jaclyn Smith started her career as a model and cover girl. Her first film role was in the 1970 movie “The Adventurers,” portraying a Journalist named Belinda. Jaclyn then received other roles in films such as “Bootleggers,” and “The Moonshiners.” However, Jaclyn Smith was more seen on the small screen, guest-starring in various TV shows, such as “The Partridge Family,” “Probe,” “Oh Nurse,” “Sin, American Style,” “McCloud,” “Get Christie Love!,” “Switch,” “The Rookies,” “The Whiz Kid and the Carnival Caper,” “Disneyland,” “The San Pedro Beach Bums,” and “The Love Boat.”

In 1976, Jaclyn Smith won the role of a lifetime – she became Kelly Garrett, one of the “Charlie’s Angels” alongside Farrah Fawcett and Kate Jackson. Since the show’s debut in 1976, until the “Charlie’s Angels” final episode in 1981, Jaclyn Smith portrayed her role, making her the only original Angel to star on the show. After five years of being an Angel, Jaclyn Smith had no problem receiving new roles mostly for made-for-TV movies. Her first work outside ‘Charlie’s Angels’ was a CBS made-for-TV film “Escape from Bogen County,” followed by a starring role in the 1978 drama series “The Users.”

In 1980, Jaclyn Smith starred in the suspense thriller “Nightkill” alongside Robert Mitchum. She then appeared in the 1981 made-for-TV hit film “Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy,” which earned Jaclyn a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Actress.” In 1983, Jaclyn Smith starred in the Sidney Sheldon made-for-TV movie “Rage of Angels,” portraying Jennifer Parker, a role Smith would reprise on its 1986 sequel “Rage of Angels: The Story Continues.”

Other notable works of Jaclyn Smith include “The Night They Saved Christmas” (1984), “Florence Nightingale” (1985) and “Windmill of the Gods” (1988). Jaclyn Smith was dubbed as the “Queen of TV/Miniseries” when she appeared on the TV adaptation of “The Bourne Identity,” alongside the King of TV Richard Chamberlain. She then starred in more films and TV series, including “Settle the Score,” “George Washington,” “Lies Before Kisses,” “In the Arms of a Killer” “Déjà vu,” and “The Rape of Dr. Willis.”

By 1989, Jaclyn Smith already has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Throughout the 1990s, Jaclyn Smith continued to appear on the small screen, but kept herself busy with business. After introducing a collection of women’s apparel in 1985, she became one of the earliest celebrities to launch their own brands instead of just endorsing products for clients. However, Jaclyn Smith also had other endorsement deals, including her own Max Factor perfume called “California.” In 2002, Smith also introduced a collection for home furnishings.

Some of Jaclyn Smith’s more recent roles include shows like “The District,” “Hope and Faith,” and “Ordinary Miracles.” In 2003, Smith reprised her role as Kelly Garrett for a quick appearance in the movie “Charlie’s Angels.” Since 2007, Jaclyn Smith has been hosting the Bravo TV reality series “Shear Genius.”
